Baffin Island Golf & Country Club Weather Station
The weather network had to relocate its reporting station 800 miles south from Pond Inlet to Iqaluit after the bottoms froze out of the recording thermometers 12 days in a row.
Iqaluit is on the same island but people here in Pond Inlet can identify travelers from that community by their distinctive accent which is described as a kind of drawl.
